Nadeeka Perera world's best model
Famous Sri Lankan model Nadeeka Samanmalee Perera was adjudged the world's
best model at a modeling contest held in Spain.
23 year old Nadeeka was adjudged Miss Sri Lanka last year and represented the
nation for the Miss World contest held in China.
Nadeeka enjoys social dancing, volleyball, sewing, designing and making costume
jewellery, watching TV programmes on travel and tourism. Her aim in life is to
encourage all young women to believe in themselves and overcome all obstacles
which prevent them from fulfilling their dreams.
Except the Best Model award, she also won the first places for the Best
Photogenic, Best Glamour, Best Catwalk and Best national Costume events.
This is the first time a Sri Lankan woman won a world's first place in this
category.

Aruni Rajapakse (Center) was crowned the ReeBonn Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2007, while Maria Fernando (L) and Udeshika Liyanage (R) were ajudged first and second runners up respectively. Nirosha and Irosha
Nirosha and Irosha studied at Buddhist Ladies College, Colombo and the two
were popular figures from schooldays onwards since they were everywhere where
things were happening. Though Irosha joined Musaeus College half way through,
Nirosha continued at BLC and holds the distinguished record of being the first
in the class right through her school career. Irosha had come closer by being
the first from grades one to eight.Whether it was drama, dancing, acting,
singing, music, sports or literary activities, the two sisters were right in the
thick of things and hence, popularity is not something new to the duo.
Once you start talking and listening to these two golden girls, you instantly
realize the bubbly duo are no ordinary girls. There is always a spark of
excitement whenever you are in the midst of Nirosha and Irosha. They are indeed
a cut above the best
